Welcome to any new readers who have stopped by from the life {in} grace or the Shabby Creek Cottage blogs! I hope you enjoy my little tour of our temporary rental abode. I think it is so important to personalize and make any place feel like home, no matter how long or short you plan on being there, especially when you have kids! Hope you enjoy and feel free to leave any questions or comments at the bottom :)
I was working around the blog the other day and realized that I haven't really done an updated house tour. The original house tour pictures were taken with my iphone the day we moved in, so they weren't very pretty. I've done a couple little update posts featuring the Master Bedroom and the Scraproom/Studio and also shown the Frame wall, but the rest of the house was feeling left out :)
So, grab a cuppa, and follow along...
First off, when you walk in the front door we have this little vignette to greet you,
which was last featured wearing its Christmas decor :)
BEFORE
Some things I love are the fantastic globe given to us by our friend Jeremy for Christmas. I also love the title of one of the old books, "Bless this House", so appropriate, don't you think?
After
And here we are looking back towards the front door and you can see part of the frame wall which I'm doing a little change up.
OK, here's the "before" view when you turn to the left from the door,
and after....
other direction before...
and After
I added this little reading corner for the kids and they love it! Actually the cats love it more, I believe, cause I always find them curled up on that Cars couch. :)
The dining room before...
and after...
This bedroom was only Cadence's at first, but then my sister moved in with us, so we had her double up with her brother (why not her sister you may ask? Well, dear Cady snores like a trucker and Gabe sleeps like a rock so it works!)
This room is pretty huge, so it has become toy central after I changed my office/ scraproom again! (more on that to come)
They have all the little kitchen stuff, a reading corner, beside that is a table that I've had since I was a toddler :) it has a lot of the Lego on it, eventually I'd like to make a Lego station like this or like this, then there are the big bins of Lego and Playmobil, some doll beds and finally Fudge (the Guinea pig)'s cage. :) I have all the stuff pushed against the wall so there is a maximum of open floor space to play on.
The bedroom closet before...
and after...
This was originally Gabe's room, but like I mentioned above, he moved to Cady's room and my sister Kim gets this room... Before...
her rock and gem collection (She wants to be a geologist when she grows up)
then we have a bunch of her artwork, her dresser and desk.
And can't forget her bookshelf, which is imperative to her life :)
Whew! You may notice I didn't include places like the kitchen or basement or bathrooms, but they really haven't changed that much (except maybe a little tidier, but then again maybe not!)
I hope you've enjoyed the tour, any questions, feel free to ask in the comments below (someone else might have the same question too) and I shall answer there ASAP.
Have a great spring/summer filled week!
P.S I am linking up with The Shabby Creek Cottage Summer Tour of Homes Link Party check it out for tons of beautiful summery homes!

I love the layout of your house...and I've looked at other tours you had linked...Your home looks like a resort cabin!
I'd love to live there.
Very spacious...:)
