Pink Shirt Day

Yesterday was Pink Shirt Day! What is Pink Shirt Day, you may ask? It is a form of solidarity against all forms of bullying, you can read more info including the story of how Pink Shirt day began on their website HERE.

Cadence was so excited about winning this shirt at school! She had worn a pink shirt from home, but a whole bunch of these t-shirts were brought to her school and raffled off and she won one!

The kids' school had an assembly yesterday and I went to watch (well I go watch most of them anyways) but this one was pretty special because Nyla was one of the two MCs for the assembly. She did a fantastic job! I could tell she was nervous at first but then she settled in and enjoyed it :) I mean, who wouldn't be nervous standing and talking into a mic in front of 100 people ?!?

And my three pink shirt kids :) Oh and we didn't torture poor Gabe into wearing his (contrary to what this picture portrays!). He was totally gung-ho about wearing pink in fact he wore two pink shirts, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt! But alas this picture was taken just before bed and he was not impressed with the fact that he had to go brush his teeth after instead of playing another round of Uno :)
